The Number Three

The Number Three In number three you find yourself in a crowd while three also gives you solace. I have been a part of number three; I did find comfort and felt secured. However, there’s always a subtle fight for the center position. There’s always a way to be in the middle, ‘Hey, I’m tall let me stand in the middle.’ While the other one pounces to say, ‘I’m short; let me be in the center.’ Hilarious it may sound, but believe me this occurs in every number Three. Never is there a moment of silence, boredom is alien, for God only knows who is listening and how many are talking. Amazingly a constant chatter; however, it doesn’t matter to the Number Three. Nevertheless, if they hear others babble, they shall take their case to another level. Suddenly, they transform themselves to be all righteous and say, ‘How can they be so loud, how uncouth, we’re extremely blessed we aren’t brought up this way.’ The partners in crime in unison nod their head; while one agrees and the other may n...
The day I was born The day I was born, my heart beat stopped beating, The day I was born, my hands and limbs froze. She looked at me with moist eyes, Was it a look of regret or was it a look of despise? For I was wrong in what I had thought, She was a fighter who never gave up on me. Held me tight on her bosom to never let me go, Her cry, her laughter all came in a flow. How could I be a pig-head? No, not so soon I want to be dead. I chuckled and I kicked her hard, due to which my immunity was scarred. From the day I was born, from the time I was gone She’s lost her sleep; she’s lost her life, But never has she lost her hope, but never has she lost her faith. From the day I was born, from the time I was gone I am sorry for all the troubles, I am sorry to put you in grief, I went before time, but my soul is at rest. Mother, you don’t regret, for you did your best.
A prayer for myself Oh Lord! Make me a better person not the bitter one. When birds flock towards me, when they fly away from me. Oh lord! Make me a better person not the bitter one. Not knowing how to handle dejection, most of the time seeing rejection, oh lord! Make me a better person not the bitter one. When promises of friendship are broken, when I forage the pieces of peace that are stolen.. Oh lord! Make me a better person not the bitter one.....
Change The way we look at the world defines the person we are Our little windows need to be replaced with a bigger one to watch the world in a broader horizon. I need to let go, I need to stay strong, I need to say ‘It’s Okay’, To be happy and at peace with myself I have to ignore the scoffs and boos. My positive attitude will be my new window; once in a while crying in front of loved ones is not a sign of weakness in fact it strengthens you to face the next challenge. Tears and laughter will be my companions, However, laughter will be my best friend.
